24th, 25th and 26th OCTOBER 2025

More than an event.

A celebration of local authenticity, curated by Octant Hotels
Inspired by the  LATITUDE —  the guide curated by Octant Hotels showcasing the most authentic experiences in the surrounding area.

The festival brings together Chefs, artists and local producers from the Douro region for a weekend of informal luxury, outstanding gastronomy and culture.

It is a natural extension of the Octant experience, where the hotel is no longer the destination but becomes the starting point to explore, feel and savour the authenticity of the region.

José González is a Swedish singer-songwriter of Argentine heritage, renowned for his gentle, introspective sound blending classic folk with Latin American and African influences. Despite releasing only four solo albums over 18 years, he’s achieved global acclaim with sold-out shows in prestigious venues and hundreds of millions of streams.

His latest album, Local Valley, is his most personal yet – performed in three languages and exploring secular humanism, reason, and our search for meaning.

Recorded in his home studio, it pairs melodic, minimalist arrangements with thoughtful lyrics, reaffirming his quiet yet powerful presence in modern music.

Dárcio Henriques grew up among fruit trees and vegetable gardens on his family’s farm, where he developed an early connection to the land and its produce.

His journey took him through some of the world’s top kitchens, from Paris (with Joël Robuchon) to Shanghai and London, where he led the team at Céleste, The Lanesborough, earning a Michelin star in 2020 and 2021.

Now, as head chef at Octant Douro, he offers a new interpretation of Douro cuisine, inspired by the river’s course, the region’s ingredients and a creativity shaped by European influences.

Trigo is the personal project of Chef Víctor Martín and Noemí Martínez, celebrating the flavours of Castilla y
León for over 15 years.

After working in prestigious kitchens like Racó de Can Fabes, Ábac, and Santceloni, Víctor launched Trigo in 2007. The restaurant quickly earned acclaim: nominated as Revelation Restaurant in 2009 (Madrid Fusión), followed by its first Repsol awards and individual honours.

Awarded a Michelin star in 2017, it is now a benchmark in Spanish gastronomy.

Born in Setúbal, David Jesus trained in some of the world’s top kitchens – including Quique Dacosta, DiverXO and Frantzén – before founding Seiva, his personal and sensory project.

His culinary project Seiva
is the purest expression of his personal mission: to create meaningful connections through food. More than just celebrating ingredients, David believes in crafting something that lives in people’s everyday lives.

As he puts it, “Seiva is part of the journey – not a starting point or destination, but a driving force for expression and connection.”

Chef Alvar Crespo, originally from Guardo (Palencia), began his career in his family’s metal workshop before following his true passion and enrolling in culinary school at the Instituto Virgen de la Calle in Palencia.

He worked as head chef at the Real Hotel de Guardo and later at “Molino” in Velilla del Río Carrión.

In 2018, he co-founded Alquimia, which earned its first Michelin star in 2022 and a Repsol Sun in 2024.

Named Hospitality Entrepreneur of the Year in 2023 by the University of Valladolid, he now combines his restaurant work with teaching.

Vasco Coelho Santos is a leading voice in contemporary Portuguese cuisine. Trained in world-renowned kitchens like El Bulli and Mugaritz, he later founded Porto’s acclaimed Euskalduna Studio and a series of bold culinary projects.

Awarded a Michelin star in 2022 and recognised with two knives at The Best Chef Awards, Vasco Coelho Santos is one of the key figures shaping modern Portuguese cuisine, with a vision that is contemporary, technical, and deeply personal.

Pedro Lemos is a leading figure in Portuguese gastronomy. Known for a precise and emotional cuisine, he helms his Michelin-starred namesake restaurant, now located on Rua do Ouro.

In the Douro Valley, he extends this philosophy through the Casa dos Ecos and Bomfim 1896 with Pedro Lemos. In 2025, he was honoured as Chef of the Year, and his new restaurant was awarded New Restaurant of the Year by Boa Cama Boa Mesa, further affirming a path built on excellence and authenticity.

Sara Ferreres (b. 1986, Salamanca) is head chef at Taller Arzuaga in Valladolid, a restaurant awarded a Michelin Star since 2019 and a Green
Star since 2024. Her cuisine blends Castilian roots with seasonal, local ingredients, creating a balance between culinary tradition and
modern technique.

Sara’s culinary style is contemporary and grounded in the Castilian tradition, working with seasonal ingredients and local products. Dishes such as the organic garden, wild hare with curry, tomato-focused plates and wild boar tongue pastrami reflect her ability to reinterpret heritage through technical and conceptual evolution.

Under the artistic direction of designer Amaya Arzuaga, Taller Arzuaga – founded in 2017 – brings together gastronomy, design and the soul of Ribera del Duero.

Born in northern Portugal, Óscar Geadas grew up in his family’s restaurant and developed a deep passion for cooking. Named Revelation Chef in 2018 and Michelin-starred since 2019, he leads G Restaurante and the award-winning Família Geadas – Contradição Gastro Bar (Bib Gourmand 2025).

In 2021, he joined Masterchef
Portugal as a juror and returned to television in 2024 for Masterchef Junior Portugal, where he embraced his role as mentor, sharing his passion and knowledge with younger generations while honouring his transmontano roots.

Musician, DJ and producer, he is also the co-founder of the Discotexas / DTX label and collective, together with Moullinex. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with renowned artists including Moullinex, Vaarwell, WhoMadeWho, Lazarusman, Gisela João, Joris Voorn and Adana Twins. With three albums released, alongside numerous EPs, singles, remixes and film soundtracks, his music has appeared on labels such as Anjunadeep, Cercle, Moblack, Watergate and, of course, Discotexas. His work remains deeply influenced by punk and hardcore, which continue to shape his artistic ethos and inspiration.

RETIMBRAR is a dynamic collective of eight musicians who craft their sound from the roots of Portuguese musical traditions, reshaping them with a contemporary spirit.

With international recognition that includes a place on the World Music Charts Europe and awards such as the aRi[t]mar 2022 Prize for Best Portuguese Song, the group has taken their music to renowned stages and festivals including WOMEX, FMM Sines, Expo Dubai, Folk Alliance International (Canada) and the Festival da Canção 2024. In 2025, they stepped onto iconic stages and continue to break new ground, standing today as one of the most vibrant and inventive voices in Portuguese music.

Máximo Francisco is a pianist and composer whose work moves between classical, jazz, electronic and experimental worlds. A graduate in Jazz Composition from Codarts Rotterdam, he blends tradition and innovation with a distinctive voice that embraces cross-disciplinary collaborations spanning film, fashion, visual arts and dance.

His debut Greatest Hits (2023), the experimental project Residência (2024) and the album PANGEA (2025) – whose title track became the official theme for Portugal at EXPO 2025 in Osaka – showcase his bold approach to composition and performance. With appearances at major venues and festivals in Portugal, Japan, the UK, France and the Netherlands, Máximo is emerging as one of the most original voices of a new generation of Portuguese music.

“Everywhen” is the new album and live show by Best Youth, where Catarina Salinas and Ed Rocha Gonçalves explore the concept of time through eleven songs that merge past and future in an immersive musical and visual journey.

The setlist brings together new tracks such as Back With A Bang, Cool Kids and Out Of Time with classics like Midnight Rain, Mirrorball and Hangout, in a voyage through the “newtro” sounds that have always defined the duo.

On stage, just Ed and Kate, reaffirming the unique creativity that makes Best Youth stand out.
